SOCOCAI Case Study 3/5: TeachMN 20/20

This study makes a case for prioritizing a shift in the current narrative around the teaching profession to promote the recruitment and retention of Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers (TOCAIT).

Highlighting qualitative and quantitative data to connect the dots between TOCAIT and increased student performance, we begin with a historical overview of the United States and Minnesota’s public education system. This case study explores the benefits of elevating the teaching profession through public discourse and diversification.
